Chef Ventura Vivoni (Chuleria en Pote, Café Despierta Boricua)

From a young age, Chef Vivoni has shown an immense interest in contributing to the culinary arts, innovating with gastronomic techniques and recipes; using mainly products grown and processed in his native country, Puerto Rico.
The Journey begins

In the central mountains of Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, young Ventura Vivoni grew up with his family on a coffee plantation dating back to 1887. Inspired by the green fields of the region, his great appreciation for nature was born, and the influence of his mother developed in him an enormous passion for good food.

Driven by his appetite to continue learning and eager to manifest his passion within the kitchen, Ventura Vivoni moved to the city of Hato Rey where he obtained his degree in Culinary Arts. This big step immediately began to expand his knowledge of various cultures and cooking styles, paving the way for his first experience cooking in front of the public.

A Star Emerges in the Caribbean
At the age of 27, Vivoni managed to be the Executive Chef of the renowned Hotel Coyaba Beach Resort on the Island of Grenada. Later, he had the opportunity to collaborate in kitchens awarded with the prestigious Michelin Stars, such as PERSE in New York and Ramiro's Restaurant in Spain.
